Teens Learn to Fly – Playfully and Purposefully in the Simulator
Imagine being a teenager and taking the controls of an aircraft – with focus, responsibility, and your eyes set high above the clouds. We go even further. Certified as an educational program, our sessions combine fun with improved academic skills. Whether it’s learning to calculate routes or applying English practically in the cockpit – it all becomes meaningful here. Teamwork, self-discovery, and a hands-on glimpse into aviation careers are part of every session.

Holiday Flight Kids Camps provide a thrilling boost during school breaks and are tailored for the ages 12-15 or 14-17.

My Knowledge? From the Cockpit!
The Flight Kids project is an educational and career orientation program for young people interested in aviation. Flight Kids is available as both an Academy and a Camp. The combination of theory and practical application in highly realistic conditions ensures maximum learning success – and, of course, lots of fun from flying itself. This way, teens can playfully explore at an early stage whether their passion for aviation could lead to a future career path.
Flight Kids: Opportunities
The Academy
- Twice a month, groups of up to nine Flight Kids meet for a half-day session. During the lessons, they acquire theoretical knowledge about aviation and related topics such as technology, meteorology, radio communication, physics, geography, and more. Afterwards, they apply what they’ve learned in practice inside a real Airbus A320 original cockpit flight simulator. In addition, regular excursions to aviation-related companies and exhibitions are part of the program.
The Flight Kids Camps
- Three or five days of fun, learning, and flying during the holidays: Teens aged 12 to 15 – and now also 15 to 18 – experience a compact version of the Flight Kids program. Up to nine participants enjoy their first moments in the cockpit of an Airbus A320 original simulator and learn a lot about flying, weather, and aircraft. They also prepare exciting flights themselves and take on the role of pilot.

The Flight Kids concept is supported by numerous partners, including the Airportstadt Bremen interest group and companies that recognize their social responsibility in youth development.
Initial funding from the EU’s ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) and official recognition as an educational program enable us to offer the initiative at cost and significantly more affordably than regular simulator flights.

Flying for teenagers aged 12 and up – The Flight Kids Program
The Flight Kids program gives young people aged 12 and up a unique chance to experience the world of aviation firsthand. Designed for both educational and career exploration, it combines solid theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in a real Airbus A320 cockpit simulator. Whether as part of the Academy or the Camp, the program blends learning and excitement in a way that helps teens discover if aviation might be part of their future.
The Flight Kids Academy
In the Academy, groups of up to nine young participants meet twice a month for a half-day session. They dive into key aviation topics like aircraft systems, meteorology, navigation, physics, geography, and radio communication. What they learn in the classroom is then directly applied in the A320 Original Cockpit Flight Simulator — making for a powerful and engaging learning experience. Regular field trips to aviation companies and exhibitions round out the program, giving even more insight into the world of flying.
Flight Kids Camp – A Flying Start to the Holidays
Looking for a high-energy program during school holidays? The Flight Kids Camp is the perfect fit. Over three exciting days, teens aged 12–15 and now also 15–18 explore flight from every angle. They plan their own missions, learn about aircraft and weather, and even take the controls of a real A320 cockpit simulator. It’s the perfect mix of hands-on learning and unforgettable fun.

Academy:
Flight Kids Academy groups are called "Wings".
A new Wing starts each fall.
There are always three Wings running at the same time: one in its first, one in its second, and one in its third year.
Registration works via a waiting list. Each summer, we reach out to the parents of all registered Flight Kids to plan the launch of new classes. Placement considers registration date, age, and group composition.
Your child can join if they have an interest in flying, enthusiasm for the Academy, and meet the age requirement (minimum 12, maximum 15 years at the time of joining).
Camps:
Every spring, summer, and fall, we offer holiday camps — open for direct booking.
- Join our 3-day and 5-day Camps for ages 12-15 or our Afternoon Camp for the ages 14-17.
